    Tyler Planetta scored two goals leading the St. John’s Maple Leafs to a 7-2 decision over St. John’s Privateers in Major Midget Hockey League play. Tim Noble, Danny Rice, Aaron Greenham, James Locke and Kyle McGrath added singles. Max French and Patty Pilon replied for the Privateers

METRO BASKETBALL

Steve Gosse scored 18 points and ACW Law beat George Street Beer Market 49-38. John Rowe had 12 points for the losers. Swilers beat Atlantic Woodworking 52-47. Mark Squires of Atlantic Woodworking was the top scorer in this game with 29 points. Mike Fudge hooped 17 points leading M5 past Fougere Menchenton 59-44.
