CENTRAL WEST SR HOCKEY DRAFT

  The Central West Senior Hockey League held it’s draft on Wednesday night. The Gander Flyers selected Justin Barbour first overall. They also with fourth pick chose Matt Jenkins. The Clarenville Caribous selected Connor Donaghey second overall. With the third overall pick the Cataracts chose Jason Stone.

CENTRAL-WEST DISPERSAL DRAFT

    The Central West senior hockey league will operate with three teams this season. Clarenville Caribous, Gander Flyers and Grand Falls Windsor Cataracts. BRONZE BASEBALL MEDAL FOR CAPS

St. John’s claimed the bronze medal at the Atlantic Pee Wee Baseball championships and they were leading 18-8 over New Brunswick when the game was forfeited to St. John’s by a score of 7-0. A New Brunswick player was ejected for malicious contact. NB gad no subs left to put in the game so it was forfeited to St. John’s. Its first medal at these championships since 2009
