The 2017 Bantam AAA Female Provincials championships are set for this weekend at the Glovertown Gardens in Glovertown.Teams competing this weekend are the Host team – Central Ice Pak, Western Warriors, Eastern Ice Breakers and Tri Pen Ice. Paradise native Sarah Davis has been named to Canada’s National women’s hockey team. Davis plays with the Calgary Inferno in the Canadian Women’s Hockey League and has won a championship with that team last year. She also played for the Canadian Under 18 women’s team. The Rockwell team went undefeated in the tournament and downed Trudy Keeping also of Corner Brook 6-3 in the final game.
