Mark Noseworthy is the champion of the St John’s Super Curling League. Noseworthy scored once in the extra end and edged Paul Harvey 5-4. This game was forced to the extra end when Harvey scored twice in the eighth end.
Toby McDonald and his rink won the “A” section championship of the Ball Haly Super League Tuesday night. McDonald defeated Greg Smith 5-2. And Gary Perry claimed the “B” section championship after defeating Neil Jacobs 7-2. That concluded the Bally Haly Super League curling season.
Bally Haly Super Curling League semi-finals are set for Tuesday night. In the “A” semis Bill Jenkins plays Matthew Smith. The winner of that game meets Toby McDonald in the final. The “B” semi-final has Neil Jacobs against Ken Bavis. That winner faces Gary Perry in the final.
W E D N E S D A Y Adam Boland and his Memorial University curling rink of Evan Kearley lead, Zach Young second and Stephen Trickett third are Canadian University Curling champions. Boland defeated Thomas Scoffin and his Alberta rink 8-4 in the gold medal game. The Memorial team
Toby McDonald has advanced to the final of the Bally Haly Super Curling League A section. McDonald beat Bill Jenkins 6-4 . In another A section game Greg Smith edged Matthew Smith 4-3. So Jenkins and Smith meet in the semi final of A section next Tuesday. In the B section Gary Perry
Brad Gushue and his rink have to get back into action for the Princess Auto Elite 10 which starts tomorrow at the Civic Center in Port Hawkesbury Nova Scotia. The Gushue rink are the defending champions The competition will also feature Jeff Stoughton who by the way will have former Gushue teammate Jamie Korab
Team Paul Harvey has advanced to the final of the St John’s Curling Club Super League final. Harvey and his rink defeated Adam Boland who won the AUS Curling championship this year 6-5. Harvey will face Mark Noseworthy in the final.
Bally Haly Super League Curling ended its round robin play Tuesday night. Matthew Smith beat Greg Smith 8-3, Greg Smith downed Julie Pitcher 8-3, Ken Bavis upset Toby McDonald 6-5 and Bill Jenkins doubled Gary Perry 6-3. The Corner Brook of Gary Oke skip, Brian Bailey third, Jim Goodyear second and lead George King are the provincial masters men’s curling champions. Oake and his team went undefeated with a 4-0 record and defeated Rick Cook 7-0 in thje championship game. TEAMS 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8

The Rockwell team went undefeated in the tournament and downed Trudy Keeping also of Corner Brook 6-3 in the final game.
