CAPS BEAT CEEBEE STARS

    The St. John’s Caps scored five goals in the second period and added three in the third to beat Conception Bay CeeBee Stars 8-2 in Avalon East senior hockey play. Justin O’Rielly and Lucas Deering scored two goals each for the winners. Mike Druken, Robert Barrett, Jeremy Dixon and Jon Caul added singles.

ICE CAPS LOSE

  The Ice Caps fall 5-2 to Wilkes Barre Scranton Penguins last night. They gave up four second period goals in this game. Mike McCarron and Christian Thomas scored the two goals for the Ice Caps. The teams meet again Friday at 8:30 Island time.
