IceCaps settle for split
The St. John's IceCaps looked confident in their second game of a two game series against Portland Pirates. The IceCaps were down 1-0 after 20 minutes of play but rebounded to take a 2-1 lead after 40 minutes. But in the third period they seemed to fall apart and Portland pumped home four unanswered goals to come away with a 5-2 win and a split of their two game series.
Shawn Weller connected at 5:56 of the second on the power play and Jason King with his fourth of the year at 13:54 of the second.
