Caps perfect on season





I J Smith and Sons Trinity Placentia Flyers beat C and W OffShore Junior Breakers 9-6 Sunday at Whitbourne. Garrett Murphy and Paul Hutchings had two goals apiece for the winners. Jeremy Nicholas, Scott McCarthy, Justin Pinksen, Brent Skiffington and Darrin Wilkins with singles. Andrew Gale and Brandon Roache had two goals each for Shore. Shane Boland and Jamie Gardiner rounded out the scoring.

At the Jackj Byrne Arena Mount Pearl Junior Blades get a goal from Jacob Pitcher at 6:20 of the third period and edge Celtics 4-3. Aaron Schwartz, Matt McGrath and john Ryan contributed singles.

Chris Blackwood, Tyler Parsons and Shane McGrath were the goal scorers for the Celtics.






The Toyota Plaza St. John's Caps have now extended their unbeaten streat to eight games with a 6-3 win over Mount Pearl Blades at the Twin Rinks.

Jungle Jime player of the game Jon Caul led the winnesr withj three goals and two assists teammate Robby Hynd added two goals and two assists and Riley Edwards had the single. Steve O'Keefe setup three goals for the winners.

Luke Deering fired two Mout Pearl goals which got him named Jungle Jims player of the game for his team and Damian Ryan added a single.

Caps led 3-0 after the first and 4-1 heading to the third.


At Kelligrews the Assante Wealth Management CBR Renegadesw defeated the Junior Celtics 5-2 as Danny Evans, their Jungle Jims player of the game scored three goals and added one assist. Alex Tulk and Curtis Whelan had singles for the winners.

Chris Blackwood and Shane mcGrath replied for the Celtics.

The St. John's Toyota Plaza Junior Capitals have now won seven games in a row. Their latest win Friday night a 6-1 victory over the Slateworks CBN Junior Stars at the Bay Arena in Kent St. John's Junior Hockey League play.

Robby Hynd lead the Capitals with four goals, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh goals of the season. Jon Caul and Ryan Perks supplied single markers for the winners. Taylor Pittman found the net for CBN.

The Assante Wealth Management CBR Renegades came away with a 5-4 win over C and W OffShore Junior Breakers thanks to three unanswered goals in the third period.

Chris Butler, Alex Tulk, Peter McLeod, John Ralph and Joel Foster provided the scoring for the winners. Andrew Gale scored twice for the Breakers with singles from Daniel Chafe and Shane Boland.
