COLE LEADS WIN

Avalon edge closer to first.

 

 

 

Roebothan McKay and Marshall Avalon Junior Capitals have moved to within four points of first place in Kent St. John's Junior Hockey League standings.

Avalon get two goals from Mike Cole, one on the power play and defeat Slateworks Junior Stars 5-3 at the Goulds Arena. The Capitals have 12 points and trail first place Toyota Plaza St. John's Junior Caps who have 16 points and a game in hand. Justin Pearcey, Scott Marshall and Mark Rideout contributed to the win with singles.

Tyler Adams and Mike Vaters had powerplay goals and Brian Greeley had the other marker for CBN.

Cole picks up the Jungle Jim's player of the game award for Avalon and Brian Greeley gets the nod for the CBN Stars.
