CARIBOUS GET SPLIT

Clarenville Caribous get a split of their weekend series with the Corner Brook Royals defeating the Royals 7-4 Sunday in Clarenville. Andrew Sweetland had three goals for the Caribous with Chris Hulit adding two goals and Steve Yetman and Ryan Derosiers have added a singles. Andrew White, Scott Doody, Ryan Bellows and Jake Easton have scored for the Royals.

The Corner Brook Royals pickup their second win of the season with a 3-2 win over Clarenville Caribous in Clarenville. Steve North scored the shootout winner for the Royals. The teams were tied 2-2 at end of regulation. The overtime loss also moves Clarenville into a first place tie with the Cataracts.
Mount Pearl defeated Conception Bay CeeBee Stars 4-3 on Saturday to sweep the two weekend games. The two wins move the Blades into third place in the league standings Matthew Thomey, Ray Dalton and Mark Tobin had the goals for the CeeBee Stars. Tilley, Roebothan, Power and Gale have scored for the Blades.

It a game that was scheduled for Saturday night and for some reason changed, Mount Pearl defeated the CeeBee Stars 6-5 at the Glacier.
Chris Mooney scored a pair of goals for Mount Pearl. Pearcey, Gale, Tilley and Penney added singles for the winners.
Keith Delaney with a pair fo goals for the CeeBee Stars with Stevens, Wadden and Ryan Delaney with the other goals.
Roger Kennedy in goal for Mount Pearl made 32 saves. Doug Jewer started and played the first period but was replaced after the first with Mt Pearl up 4-0. Freddy Diamond came on to tend the net for the second and third periods.
