Mount Pearl Blades downed Celtics 4-1 in the opening game of that St Johns Junior Hockey quater-final series.
Daniel Toope scored two goals for the winners with singles added by Brandon Bursey and Stephan Predham.
Tyler Bennett replied for the Celtics

Trinity Placentia Flyers were 5-3 winners over Southern Shore Breakers.
Lyndon Thorne, Conner Stevens, Cass Warren, Matt Hanson and Dakota Warren were the goal scorers for the Flyers.
Claude Moulasion tallied twice for the Breakers and Coady Edwards netted a single.

It went into overtime and Roebothan McKay and Marshall Avalon Capitals edge the St. Johns Caps 5-4 in the first game of that quarter final series.

And C-B-N Jr Stars edge C-B-R Renegades 5-4.
